This is a lighthearted, slice-of-life comedy centered on the odd dynamic between a shy, introverted tenant and a mischievous ghost who inhabits their apartment. The protagonist, let’s call them Alex, is a socially awkward individual who prefers their own company, avoiding the world outside as much as possible. They move into a cheap, suspiciously affordable apartment, only to discover it comes with a surprise—Boo, a ghost who can only be seen and heard by them. Boo is playful, sarcastic, and bored after being trapped in the apartment for years. At first, their pranks and antics irritate Alex, who just wants a quiet life. However, over time, an unlikely friendship forms. Boo becomes Alex’s pushy, unorthodox life coach, encouraging them to break out of their shell, face the world, and overcome personal challenges—often with hilarious and chaotic results.
Alex (the tenant): A socially awkward and introverted person. They moved into the apartment to escape from the pressures of the world, but Boo constantly pulls them into chaotic situations. Alex is methodical and tries to maintain control over their environment, but Boo’s antics disrupt that. Alex’s arc focuses on learning to let go, be more spontaneous, and embrace uncertainty in life.
Boo (the ghost): A mischievous, sarcastic, and playful ghost with no filter. Boo has been haunting the apartment for years and is bored out of their mind. Seeing Alex as their “project,” Boo tries to help Alex get out more, meet people, and confront fears—albeit in the most chaotic ways possible. Boo has a tragic backstory that’s hinted at but mostly kept hidden beneath layers of humor. Despite Boo’s annoying behavior, they genuinely care for Alex.
